Connecting Jewish Teens

JTConnect gives teens the opportunity to continue their Jewish education in compelling and meaningful ways. Together, teens examine religion, history and traditions through innovative, hands-on programming that includes classroom study, volunteer projects and special events.

Year Long Learning

In JTConnect’s core program, teens continue their Jewish education, exploring all aspects of Judaism in a social and learning community in one of 4 programs across the Greater Hartford region.

Volunteer Projects

Through JTCares, teens study Judaism’s view on real world problems, and put what they have learned into action as volunteers, fulfilling the mitzvah of Tikkun Olam – Repairing the World.

Community Events

All teens are welcome to take part in these special events taking place over the course of the school year, where teens explore what it means to be Jewish today.

Nowhere else would you be able to find some students passionately discussing Jewish mysticism in one room, while other students are doing yoga in the next. This freedom that JTConnect offers – to take agency over my learning – has allowed me to form a connection with Judaism on my own level.”

JTConnect Today

As our teens make their journeys from b’nai mitzvah to college students, the strong connections they forge today will be carried with them, guiding their everyday lives. That’s the gift you can give them.

Your support is vital. Together we are nurturing the next generation of Jewish leaders.
