On behalf of our generous funders and dedicated partners, JTConnect proudly presents: A Teen Conference on Antisemitism. This event would not be possible without the support of The Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford and the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford. This timely conference will bring together teens, their parents, and the Jewish communal organizations that love them to talk about the recent rise in antisemitism and how it impacts teenagers today. This conference is designed to equip teens and parents to address issues of bigotry and antisemitism head-on. As a convener of Jewish teens and families in the Greater Hartford area, JTConnect is excited to open this meaningful community conversation. We will be joined by Keynote Speaker, Amy Spitalnick, who is the new CEO of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs. We look forward to being inspired with our community throughout this impactful day.

JTConnect believes that education and advocacy should taught together to create change. In bringing teens, parents, and Jewish communal organizations together to talk about antisemitism we will help to sharpen our students’ leadership skills and broaden their perspectives, provide students with a supportive and action-oriented learning experience, create a space to be inspired by and learn from our partners, and support teens and parents in proactively responding to antisemitism and other forms of hate. Central to any conversation on antisemitism, the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, and Jewish history is to understand what it means to be part of the Jewish people.

We believe teens can and should grapple with and question the big issues that impact the world we live in and the global Jewish community. Through this conference we will develop this generation of proud Jewish thinkers and change-makers, who appreciate their heritage and engage confidently in dialogue about complex issues that impact the Jewish community. We hope to see you there!
