Cyral grew up in New York City and received a BA in English and Sociology from City College of New York. She earned a Master’s in education from Boston University and worked in the corporate world as a director of training and communications. Cyral founded the Teen Leadership & Philanthropy Institute (TLPI) and under her visionary leadership she created and grew an impactful and extensive program for teens to learn about leadership and philanthropy from a Jewish perspective by analyzing grant proposals, prioritizing need and actually funding meaningful projects. She continues to share her expertise and passion with TLPI in an advisory role. Her three children attended Solomon Schechter Day School. Cyral lives with her husband Richard in Farmington.
