JTConnect Holds Biggest Teen Mitzvah Yet

This past Sunday, JTConnect teens came together to make more than 325 pumpkin pies for families in need in the Greater Hartford area. Teens also heard from Marilyn Rosetti, president and CEO of The Open Hearth Organization, about the realities of homelessness in the Greater Hartford area and the important work her organization does for the community. Pies were donated to 10 different nonprofit organizations: Angel of Edgewood, Friendship Center, Hands on Hartford, House of Bread, Lion’s Club, Mercy Housing, MxCC Magic Food Bus, Open Hearth, South Park Inn, and St. Vincent De Paul. A huge thank you to Congregation Beth Israel for hosting this event, JTConnect staff and volunteers for preparing and executing such a super-sized teen mitzvah, our board of directors for their support and delivery of these beautiful pies, our generous donors, and above all the amazing teens whose hands and hearts made all difference!
