This past Sunday, Teens learned about hygiene poverty and the importance Judaism places on human dignity, Kevod HaBeriyot. Dignity Grows lead us through an activity that challenged students to prioritize basic necessities with a very small budget. This activity illustrated the reality that many thousands of individuals and families have to choose between feeding their families and purchasing the hygiene products they need. That’s where Dignity Grows comes in – and meets an extremely important national need. We had a wonderful team of educators who helped make this event so thoughtful and impactful. Thank you to Jessica Zachs for sharing her expertise and DG’s mission with us! Big appreciation for Congregation Beth Israel, it’s staff and clergy, for hosting us – what an inspiring day! Teens will come back together on Sunday, February 5th to pack dignity totes at our Dignity Grows Packing Party. Click here to join us! Open to ALL teens grades 8-12!
