Screenagers NEXT CHAPTER: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience

JTConnect is proud to be a partner for the Hartford premiere of “Screenagers: Next Chapter,” the second film in the groundbreaking documentary series, on Wednesday, October 23rd at 7:00pm at the West Hartford Town Hall.

Anxiety is on the rise. Today’s youth are more stressed and more depressed than ever before, but there is hope. Learn strategies and solutions to help screen-obsessed teens survive and thrive in a digital world.

Teens, parents, educators, caregivers welcome. FREE SCREENING with a donation of new or like new winter outerwear item (jacket, coat, gloves) for men, women and children in need. 

*All teens are welcome for a pizza dinner prior to the screening at 5:30pm.

PANEL DISCUSSION TO FOLLOW Moderated by WFSB-TV Dennis House and lead by Dr. David Greenfield, founder and medical director of The Center for Internet and Technology Addiction and Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Dr. Greenfield is a leading authority on behavioral addiction medicine and author of numerous articles/book chapters and the book Virtual Addiction which in 1999 rang an early warning regarding the world’s growing Internet Addiction problem. Two other mental health professionals and licensed clinicians Denise Padilla and Ann Osoba will also discuss the movie and offer advice to parents, as well as, local teens will share their perspectives.

The screening is being organized by Jewish Family Services’ Tara’s Closet in partnership with JTConnect and BBYO.
